Privacy

Unreleased music stays unreleased

Only people with the link can listen, and they only get what you allow.

Private links

Shared pages are kept out of search engines, and only people with the link can open them.

Expiring audio links

Songs stream through signed links that expire after a few hours, so the audio address can't be passed around.

Downloads off by default

The download button only appears once you switch downloads on for that track.

Your files, your call

Mixes are kept in private storage that only finalmix.io can reach, and deleting your account removes your links, notes and every stored mix.

Privacy policy

Last updated 2 October 2026

finalmix.io lets you share mixes with private links and collect notes on them. This page explains what we keep, why, and who helps us run the service. Questions go to [email protected].

What we keep

  • Your account. Your name and e-mail address. If you sign up with a password, your browser stretches it before sending it and we store only a hash of the result, never the password itself. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, your e-mail address and your Google account ID from Google, and nothing else from your Google account.
  • Your mixes. The audio files you upload, kept in private storage that only finalmix.io can reach, and the track info your browser measures when you upload (format, length, loudness and the waveform).
  • What you share. Your share links, the folders you create, and the logo and website button you add for your shared pages.
  • Notes. Comments on tracks, with the time they point to and the name the writer typed, if any. Listeners don't need an account.
  • Abuse protection. To stop spam and repeated sign-in attempts, we keep a one-way hash of the IP address with each comment and, for a short time, with sign-in and sign-up attempts. The hash can't be turned back into the address.

What we don't do

We don't sell or rent your data, we don't show ads, and the site has no advertising or analytics trackers. We don't listen to, analyse or share your mixes; they are only played for you and for the people you send a link to.

Who helps us run finalmix.io

  • Cloudflare hosts the site and the database with your account, links and notes.
  • Backblaze stores the audio files you upload, in a private bucket in the United States.
  • Namecheap Private Email sends our e-mails, such as the link that confirms your address.
  • Google handles "Sign in with Google" when you choose it, and serves the site's fonts.

Your browser

We use no tracking cookies. Your browser keeps your sign-in key and a few preferences in its local storage, and, when you comment on a shared track, a key that lets you delete that comment later.

Keeping and deleting

We keep your data while your account exists. Deleting a track or folder removes it and its notes. Deleting your account, from the account page in your studio, removes every mix you uploaded, your share links, the notes on your tracks, your track info and your branding. An account that never confirms its e-mail address is removed when someone signs up with that address again.

Security

Shared pages are kept out of search engines. Audio plays through signed links that expire after a few hours, and files can only be downloaded when their owner allows it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
