Get stems and files from clients with one link

Your own address, like finalmix.io/send/yourname. Clients drop their stems, a folder or a zip without an account, and it all lands in your studio.

How your client sends files

Send them your link. They open it, type their name, add a note if they like (tempo, key, anything you should know) and drop audio files, a whole folder or a zip, or pick them with Choose files or Choose a folder. A zip is opened right there in their browser, and only the audio inside is sent. They don't need an account. Files from different folders of theirs that share a name get the folder's name in front, like "Song B - Kick.wav". When it's done, the page tells them how many files arrived; if one didn't, they can try again or finish without it.

Where the files land

Everything arrives on the Incoming page in your studio. Several files come in a folder named after the sender and the day, like "Mara · 18 Oct" (with "(2)" added when that name is already there). A single file comes in on its own, as a song, with who sent it and their note in its details. With "Files sent to you" on in Settings › Notifications (it's on to start with), you get an e-mail saying who sent how many files, how big they are, and their note.

In Incoming you can listen to a song and download it. To work on it, press Move to… on its folder (or on the song, for a single file) and pick the client's folder, or make one there. Once it's in one of your folders, notes, new versions, share links, file details and loudness work as they do for everything else.

How much one send holds

One send takes up to 500 files and 50 GB, in WAV, AIFF, FLAC, MP3, M4A, AAC, OGG or Opus; a bigger delivery goes in more than one send. An AIFF is stored as a WAV with the very same samples, so it plays in every browser. What they send counts toward your storage, and Pro holds 1 TB. If there isn't room, the page tells them before anything is sent.

Your logo and website button on the upload page

The page says "Send files to" and your name. The logo and website button you set in Settings › Sharing show there too, like on your shared pages: the logo top left, the button top right. Pasted in WhatsApp or iMessage, the link's preview card reads "Send files to" your name, with "Upload your files for" your name and "No account needed."

Safe by design

  • Only audio files can be sent. Anything else in a folder or a zip is left out, and the server refuses it too.
  • The sender sees none of your files. The page shows only your name and your branding.
  • Nothing they send replaces a file. Each send of several files gets a folder of its own, and a name that's already there gets a number, like "Kick (2).wav".
  • On Incoming you can change the link's address or turn it off. The old address stops working at once, and it never goes to another account.
  • The link only takes files while you're on Pro.

Part of Pro

The upload link comes with Pro: $4 a month billed yearly ($48), or $8 month to month, with 1 TB of storage. Open Incoming and press Make and copy my link. Its address comes from your name, and Change address lets you pick another one of 2 to 30 letters, numbers or dashes. If Pro ends, everything that was sent stays in your studio, and the link takes files again once you're back on Pro. The steps are also in Help.
